In the small college town of Greyheart, Meadow Marsden grew up under the weight of being the Sheriff's Daughter. That is until her Father died of a mysterious and very random heart attack. It's been a year since he died and Meadow is left picking up the pieces. She now wasn't just the town Sheriff's daughter whose Mother took off when she was only three, instead, she's the daughter of the late Sheriff and, technically, an orphan. Without her Dad, Meadow is coasting through the final semesters of college and trying to keep her mental capacity together. That is until she stumbles across an exquisite and exotic ring. It's not the design of the ring that makes it stand out the most, but the fact that it produces a beautiful neon blue hue and when worn, Meadow discovers she can see the dead. But not just any dead, it allows her to see the victims of similar fates as her Dad's. Mysterious heart attacks with little to no traces of heart-related issues prior. Of all the dead visitors the ring brings, Meadow quickly finds out that the ghosts are the last of her worries. Instead, her main and only concern is the person who claims the ring is his and he lost it. Hayze. The son of Hades, the God of the Underworld. Hayze claims the ring does more, it's a sentencing for souls, a talisman used to keep Hades's powers under control. Hades is away on vacation and has entrusted the ring to his only son. Meadow's only chance at seeing her Dad again and getting the truth about what happened to him is with that ring, but Hayze isn't leaving the world of the living without it. Even when the creatures seeking to take control of the ring appear. Meadow's in a fight for her life, the truth, and the acceptance that maybe everything she knew about herself isn't what she thought it was. With the odds against her, she can only lean on Hayze, but how do you trust a man known for the games he plays?

"The Phantom of the Opera" by Gaston Leroux is a fictional novel likely written in the late 19th century. The story revolves around the mysterious figure known as the Opera Ghost, who haunts the Paris Opera House and exerts influence over the opera singers, particularly the talented Christine Daaé. Central to the plot are Christine, a gifted singer sheltered by the ghost's protective presence, and Raoul, the Viscount de Chagny, who ardently loves her and becomes embroiled in the ghost's enigmatic realm. The beginning of "The Phantom of the Opera" sets up a tantalizing mystery, both through its prologue, which claims the existence of the ghost is factual, and the opening chapters that dive into the bustling environment of the opera house. As the managers are preparing for their retirement celebration, the ghost's ominous presence is felt through frightened ballet girls discussing strange happenings and a tragic death linked to the ghost, Joseph Buquet. These elements foreshadow the turmoil surrounding Christine Daaé, who after a spectacular performance, begins to withdraw from public life due to an inexplicable fear, while Raoul's affection for her fuels the narrative's tension. The stage is thus set for a Gothic tale of love, obsession, and the supernatural. I've Always Been Here

6 parts Complete

This is my first story writing on my phone so you'll have to excuse my spelling errors. This is a Phantom of the Opera x oc. There was young girl who was studying to ballet who went to a traveling fair. Her group was guided to a tent that had "The Devil's Child" in a cage. The worker took the bag off the poor boy's face to show the his face was deformed. The boy being around the young girl's age. The worker began to beat the boy as everyone laughed and had fun. Everyone but the young girl. Once the show was over, everyone started to leave, including the young girl. But she stopped to look back at the boy only to see him strangling the worker from behind with a rope. She hurried over and help the boy out of the cage as an angry mob started, calling the boy "murderer". The young girl hurried out with the mob following. She went over to the Opera House and opened a secret entrance for the boy to enter before running to the doors and went in. She made her way below the Opera House and found the boy where she left him and grabbed his hand, dragging him further and hiding him from the cruel world. This young girl was me. Roxanne Daae. Older sister to Christine Daae. And this is the story of how I fell in love with the Phantom of the Opera.
