❝Love is an unconditional commitment to an imperfect person. To love somebody isn't just a strong feeling. It's a decision, a judgement, and a promise.❞

↳ During the summer of 1959,
thirteen-going on-fourteen year old Makana Hi'ilani is planning on traveling to Castle Rock, Oregon, in order to visit her favorite grandparents. Makana's father has fully trusted her to be responsible for her own actions. As she sets to leave from her home in Kapolei, Hawaii, she doesn't expect to come in connection with a boy by the name of Teddy DuChamp, who seems to be the least person you'd really want to talk to.

From there, adventures will rise, secrets will be told, heartbreak will reach its peak, and love will, perhaps, bring the two together.

A Maybank and A Cameron? It's almost like a modern Romeo and Juliet. It's forbidden for them to be together. Could be the end of the world. The stolen glances, the hidden feelings, the unspoken words, the secret meetings and the obvious hatred towards each other followed by constant conflicts and some hidden past that threatened them but there are always invisible strings tied and pulling them together no matter how hard the tides trying to pull and part them away from each other.
