Enter Kayah, surrounded by thoughts in the seemingly ever present silence, she suffers with social anxiety and a distrust of people - or perhaps a lack of. She's trusted people that ended up leaving her on her own, but still continues to rely on people despite believing they are only temporary.

Her conflicted family background encompasses her thoughts, but she's made herself determined not to speak about it. No one likes baggage after all, and it only leads to more explaining when she'd rather not speak at all.

And then there's him. Ayrton: attractive, kind and supportive. He's everything Kayah has dreamed of. Except, Kayah has a fear or contempt evolving around men. Put simply, she feels she was made without any intention of associating with them, or at least she felt that was what the world wanted for her...

𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘸𝘢𝘳𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨: 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘵𝘢𝘪𝘯 𝘮𝘢𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘮𝘦𝘴, 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘥 𝘢𝘶𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘳'𝘴 𝘯𝘰𝘵𝘦 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘪𝘯𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘮𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯! Tragedy can happen to anyone, anytime and anywhere, and the saddest part about that truth is that tragedy is unavoidable. No one can prevent a natural disaster from happening. No one can prevent death from knocking on their doorstep - if it's an accident, or a sickness - it cannot be prevented, and it cannot be avoided. You never know on which day tragedy will come knocking on your front door. You never know who it would strike next - if it would be you, or someone else, or someone who is very close to you. The thing is, with tragedy, it doesn't ask questions before it strikes. It just does. River and Sophia were two people who experienced the same tragedy: loss, but their stories were very different from each other, but they shared the same pain of losing someone they loved, someone who was close to them. And now, suffering the aftermath of their tragedies - living with the guilt, the regret, and the grief of losing someone that was close to them, they have to try to overcome everything, before their tragedy ruins their lives forever. But will it bring them together or would it just be another terrible tragedy? [ word count 130K - 145K ] [ comments does contain spoilers ]

Do you know the times when you want to say something, but can't? Or the times when you are sad and need someone to give you a hug? The times your worst enemy hugs your boyfriend? Or the times you are so angry you punch a locker and have to pay to get it repaired? Well with writing my thoughts, passions, anger triggers, enemies, love, hatred, even happiness out for people. Makes me feel like someone can relate to me and I can impact them in any simple or complex way they deem fit. I write because I can and I become free with every word written from my mind, every letter and messed up grammar I have accidentally committed to butchering every time I write. I may not make a difference, heck, I may not even have a lot of people who read but those who do read when I write about how I thought up a story plot or something for my best friend, they will always make me feel like I'm making the difference because someone actually read what I thought at a certain time and day and maybe even listened. That's what makes me feel wanted and happy like I can do something other than run my stubborn mouth and have a mother hen personality. That is what will continue as I write. fortunately, the thing is no one can take it away either, and that my readers are what makes the mind a great thing.

He hates being curious about things because then he loses all common sense and has to sate his curiosity. But he can't stop himself from being curious about Romi, the girl who conducts the weekly poetry sessions which Samay (forcibly) participates in. She's intelligent, yes. She knows how poetry works, sure. But she is so guarded, and that, Samay can't tolerate. Kiara is painfully shy. Bullied often as a kid, she grows up keeping her thoughts and ideas to herself, and occasionally pouring them in a sketch book or a notebook. Creativity takes over and she realises she writes poetry quite well. However, when her cousin Sarah, invites her to join a poetry group that meets weekly, Kiara must decide whether she really wants to put herself out there, in the open. Rishi is easy going and uncomplicated. He enjoys a good poem thanks to his best friend, Kabir.
