Alexander Child grew up with an understanding that there weren't nice people in the world. Constantly stalked by his mother, and repeatedly being attacked by her, he learnt to see the world from a different angle. He learnt to see strangers from another angle.
Yet, Alexander still managed to live his life to the fullest, indulging in his passion for mystery, murder and escape rooms. His home never stopped smelling like a bakery, with his Papa's obsession for cakes, and never did it stop feeling safe, with his gentle Da and the family's excited dog ready to protect.
For Alexander, he knew that not everyone was nice, but he had a happy life.
Until his parents left for a holiday, and Alexander answered the front door. He was expecting the typical door to door salesman. What he didn't expect was to be shoved against a wall, and suffocated with a strong smelling rag.
Alexander had an understanding that not everyone was nice, that there are people out there who can hurt you, abuse you. What he didn't have an understanding of, is that there are people out there, who may hurt and abuse you, but will do it just to make sure you live a few minutes longer.
Fate is twisted, in so many ways.
