Emma Howard has just graduated with a business degree, and accepted a job in Milwaukee, Wisconsin when she recieves a call that her aunt, who never married nor had children, has passed away. She is expecting to just attend the funeral, but her father asks her to take care of selling the house and belongings. Reluctantly, she agrees, leaving her in the small town of Olive Hill, Kentucky. Cash Carter is the owner of Carter Supply & Feed and CC Ranch. He has always wanted to get out of Olive Hill, but after his parents died he had no choice but to run the store and the ranch. Not to mention, someone had to take care of his little sister. Emma is a city girl who hates small towns while Cash struggles with not being able to follow his dreams as a country singer. Cash's internal grudge against his parents dying and leaving him with such responsibility has made him bitter and cold to an outsider like Emma. Will she be able to use her short time in Olive Hill to change the way Cash sees life?

Two books in one! - My Heart's in Alabama (completed) & Love Letters from Louisiana (ongoing) Growing up in a small Alabama town, Matt Purdy has known one thing for sure; he's in love with the girl-next-door. Ever since they were six years old, Matt and Kiersten have stuck together like biscuits and gravy. They've always been friends, but Matt wants more. He's been in love with her for years but doesn't dare tell her. Confessing his feelings to her would mean risking a friendship that means everything to him and losing the one person he loves the most. Going into their sophomore year of high school, things start to change. For the first time, he's old enough to try out for the varsity football team. It's then that he realizes they aren't kids anymore. Homecoming dances, dating, and decisions about the future loom in the distance. He's at a crossroads and he's not sure what to do. Even in his confusion, he knows one thing for certain. Whether he chooses to confess his feelings or not, his friendship with Kiersten will be changed forever.
