[Currently Re-writing]

"The worse part is that I never told him I loved him, and now he's gone."

Bellamy Blake and Finn Collins are welcomed back by an ash covered ground and an almost empty drop ship, finding out the other delinquents have been taken to Mount Weather.

Waking up in a white room and frightened about her whereabouts, only to find out that she had woken up in Mount Weather. The place was a blessing in disguise, but she couldn't shake the feeling that something was off about the place and the suspicious people that were housed within. The place turned out to good to be true, and that blessing of safety soon turned into a slaughter house for her people.

Driven by the urge to save the only girl that managed to tear down the walls of the Rebel Leader and find that there was a soft man hidden underneath the armor, Bellamy is in a battle of his own mind, and common sense as he fights to recklessly save Dakota.

Ataraxia (at·a·rax·ia) (n.) a state of blissful and serene calmness; freedom from emotional disturbance and anxiety. [ Bellamy Blake x OC ] When Freya was a kid, a kind family helped her out of a bad situation, taking care of her when her own father wouldn't - being too resentful towards the little girl for his wife's passing. During one of the many days on which he had locked Freya out of their living quarters to fend for herself, she had bumped into a little boy not much older than herself, Bellamy, and his mother Aurora. The two kids grew to be fast friends. Living on a space station after the nuclear end of the world, Freya didn't have many places to go, and from then on, the Blakes became her refuge, and after spending years escaping to their home, she moved in. She and Bellamy were inseparable, and she loved his mother, and his illegally hidden little sister, Octavia, just like they were her own, and relished in the feeling of finally having a family - of feeling safe and loved. But everything fell apart when Bellamy's well-intended plan to give Octavia a taste of freedom backfired. Octavia was imprisoned and sentenced to death, and Aurora was floated into space for breaking the Ark's strict population law of only having a single child. Freya couldn't forgive Bellamy for the consequences, and their once-strong bond shattered. Their friendship turned into avoidance and resentment, with both cutting all contact. When Octavia, along with 99 other teenaged prisoners awaiting their death sentence, was scheduled to be sent to Earth in a desperate attempt to save humanity, with the Ark's dwindling life-support threatening its survival yet again, everything changes. Determined to protect her against the unknown, Bellamy and Freya both sneak onto the dropship, forcing them to confront their fractured relationship in the harsh realities of a new world. BOOK I: The Reasons - the ground is unforgiving. So is survival. Madison Cameron was born in space, a child of the Ark, never feeling the sun on her skin or breathing the fresh, unfiltered air of Earth. She's never experienced the sensation of water, the way it would flow against her or lap around her as she swam. For three generations, humanity has clung to the Ark, floating in the cold vacuum of space, its fragile walls the only barrier between them and extinction. The Ark was all they knew-sterile, artificial, far from the dangers and beauty of Earth below. But now, the Ark is dying. It can't sustain them much longer. They are the last hope of mankind, a fragile chance for survival. The Earth they land on, however, is nothing like they imagined. It's not a fresh start or paradise - it's a nightmare. The air is toxic, wildlife monstrous, and every step is a battle for survival. The Earth is alive, but it's unforgiving. Amidst this chaos, Madison and Bellamy Blake find themselves at the forefront, taking on the roles of leaders. Both carry the heavy weight of responsibility, knowing that the survival of the remaining human race rests in their hands. They both strive to protect their people, to do whatever it takes to ensure their survival. But where Madison is focused on the harsh reality of survival-pragmatic, calculating, determined to keep them alive - Bellamy's vision is driven by something more abstract: freedom. They clash over their ideals - her need for structure, his thirst for freedom - and every time their paths cross, the tension between them makes their already perilous situation even more volatile. Yet, the Earth continues to test them. It doesn't care about their petty squabbles or their hopes for a better future. The planet doesn't care about Madison's desire for control or Bellamy's lust for freedom. It only cares about one thing: survival.
