Powerless

there are 2 types of people the Empowered and the Powerless.
the Empowered poses unique powers while the Powerless have nothing.
Skyy is Empowered, after her parents are found she is sent to a powerless child orphanage, thanks to a magical necklase given to her by her father, her power, her wings are hidden. Years later her bestfriend is dying from the lack of use of her power, forceing skyy to leve the city and try to find another necklace to save her friend she will need to fly.
