In the lights and glamours of festivals we all tend to forget the agony of the poor and the deprived. I could probably not succeed in writing something like a Thousand splendid Suns but an effort has been made to bring out the angst of a little orphan girl who lives in a bubble of blissful ignorance. The end of the story might leave you teary eyed.

Time slips by, so many things happen, and time blurs, but Sunday built a world where hope persisted through the shadows of resentment, neglect, and abuse. She even makes a best friend, something she always wanted. She remains hopeful that her dad will find her, believes in God and in the beauty of nature, and feels it heals her wounds.
