Mute /myoot/ adj. refraining from speech or temporarily speechless.
Ashanti Bundage was left mute as a child after witnessing her own mother brutally murdered by someone attempting to rob her apartment. She goes through her day, not saying a word. She has no way of expressing her feelings to anyone with her words, so she decides to do so through her art.
