Iwata Takashi and his sister Mayumi are getting by. Really, they are. Maybe Takashi's standards are a little lower than the average ghoul's, but, well - Mayumi's healthy, and that's all that matters in his book.

Enter Taguchi Koji, Takashi's best friend from middle school and current underage host.

Suddenly "getting by" seems to include ensuring that Koji's there, too, and that they're all alright. He can't explain why - it just... happened.

And maybe Takashi's not all that bitter about it.
