Bandit King is tired of people asking her what she plans to do with her life.

Because at eighteen, the only thing she really wants to do is write her book Spellbound- the novel she's been working on for three years. But as the summer drags on, she starts to think more and more about her plan- or lack thereof.

As her parents start pushing her to start college, Bandit clings to Spellbound more than ever. Bandit hated high school and doesn't think a university will be any different. Her friends aren't much help; none of them have bothered to make plans either. Todd is a drunk. Eli is a chain smoking hippie. Bodie is indecisive. May is a moron. And Sandwich is....complicated.

As the pressure builds, Bandit starts to make reckless decisions- like getting drunk at concerts and bridge jumping in the middle of the night. Fed up, her parents give her an ultimatum; get published by then end of the summer, or grow up and let go of Spellbound for good.

Life is a gift that everyone of us in this world has. It is something that anyone would never want to lose unless there is something that urges him or her to do so. One thing that life doesn't involve is death. Death is believed to come after life. However, what if things get horribly mashed up? What if, it happens to be life-death and not just that? What if death is not the end of one's life? What if life happens to come twice? Would these what ifs happen in reality? Or, would this only remain as a fantasy? If this fantasy becomes a reality, the moon must be behind it. The moon which kept its wonders in deep silence will now open it and start to tell stories, those which involve the memories of a life only worth telling about. "Spellbound Love" is the story of a 17-year old girl, Avyn, who struggles for her family, especially for her sick father. She studies and works hard at the same time to make a living prior to her father's sake. She does all of these things until things suddenly seem to fall out of place. She figures this out in a puzzling tale she encounters every night: the moment she takes a deep sleep through dreams. As to how she knows about it from time to time, she does it with the help of a person she never thought would bring a big impact to the maze, her dreams are taking her. Would the pieces be brought together after so much tales her mind creates during the night? Or, would she just disregard it and continue life?

Love is strange. It exists in many forms and is one of the key components that makes humans happy, but there isn't a lot of understanding surrounding it. At least not the kind of understanding with which the average person identifies. Agnes is one of the few people that can accept all kinds of love. Despite her dated name, she is a woman in her late 20's dealing with the death of most of her family. She's now stuck in the middle of figuring out how to raise children that she never saw in her future and deciding what love means for her, when it has to exist within layer upon layer of complication. She let go of her boyfriend after almost a decade because their love wasn't meant to exist under the strain of children, only to find herself confronted with the overpowering connection of her old high school sweetheart. The same man she ran away from because their values hardly aligned when it came to how love should be expressed long term. Within the midst of learning how to raise children and balance her ever-building career, Agnes tries to recover from her mother's death, seek comfort without complicating her circumstance, and figure out why her mother would name her Agnes. Finding real comfort starts to feel impossible, as her most available options are her ex-boyfriend and her assistant. Completed! Rejected 6 times** "This one just isn't for us." By far the most plain rejection I have ever received and I can respect it. 1/22/2022 - 1K 9/28/2022 - 10K
