Emily Solace, a 13 year old child of Apollo, feels useless. Her brother, who she only met this summer and is super clingy with, is slowly falling for di Angelo, who she can't stand. Camp Half Blood is under attack from monsters who are growing more confident with their attacks. Her best friend - Faith White, a child of Athena - is the only solid thing she has in her life anymore. But even she has something to hide. When Emily's brother is captured by a monster that somehow broke through camp borders, can she team up with di Angelo and save the person they both love?

Nico Di Angelo's school is taking the whole junior year on a trip to Greece. Following the no gender mingling school policy, Nico groups with his best buds Percy Jackson and Jason Grace. All is well and good before Will Solace joins their bubble. Nico gets a strange, tingly, ticklish feeling in his stomach when he's around Will. It doesn't help when they have to pair off to explore the Parthenon and Percy and Jason take off, leaving Nico alone with Will. It also doesn't help when the two boys decide to share a bed at the hotels.
