Poem

**Daddy's Princess**

You are here but not near
An illusion, that with a touch shall disappear
Connected by a thread, frail and long
That shall remain, when you are gone

A smile changes everything
Eliminating any emerging dots of discontent
But the eyes cannot lie
They speak loudly and tend to be vent

''Daddy's Princess''
What does this mean?
You are royalty
And you're Mom the Queen?

Wrapped in shrouds of endearment,
Spoiled meticulously with luxury,
Smile tearing at the world,
And becoming target of vicious storms of envy?

And why should not there be envy?
When the princess has been brought up this gingerly?
Not a single, pristine crystal allowed to fall from her eyes
Disdain or despair she never knew to everyone's surprise

Yet one must assess
The Practicality of Dreams
Things do not live on forever
As each ruefully sails through life's hesitant streams

You are here, but not near
An illusion that with the touch shall disappear
Connected by a thread, frail and long,
That still will be there when you are gone
Death is inevitable and should
Be sung as a remembrance song

''There shall be no princess, when you are gone......''

[A/N]: Hey guys! Before I post this story, I was going to give a little insight. A very good friend of mine and I decided to write this book, and what better way to recieve constructive critcism than to share with everyone here on wattpad? I'm proud to say that we're nearly finished with it, around three to five more chapters need to be written. However, I will gladly post two chapters a week. Depending on the length, I could possibly split each chapter in two. Enjoy! -Skye & Jasmine My attempts to sleep failed miserably as realization hit me. Tonight was my last night unattached to someone. I swung my legs to one side of the bed. My bare feet brushed the cold floor and sent shivers up my spine. Scotland is much warmer this time of year. I took a few steps toward the window, but before I got too far I heard chatter just outside my door. "She’ll never be happy with him." The first voice, a female, was barely audible. "She could be. She’s just upset about Benjamin." A second voice, a man, replied to the woman. "She’ll never love Derick." A hint of anger played beneath the surface of the woman’s voice. I lay back down after that, so much for Emma accepting our marriage. Unhappiness coursed through my body and I became furious. I’d never love Emma either; with that I went to sleep. I dreamt of my mother singing in the castle, her voice was loud and demanding. Her words flowed so freely from her mouth and danced playfully down the halls. She was in the throne room singing to my father just as she always did. Her song was about the way she learned to love my father. Most marriages in Scotland are arranged, and due to our beliefs they have to work out. My mother had always been so madly in love with my father, but he was hesitant because he had to leave the woman he loved so dearly. So he let her go…

"I also want her to abort this filth, but I don't know why my heart aches by hearing her words." "She is a woman, right? And a woman has the purest and softest heart. How could she be talking about aborting my child without any remorse and pain?" "My child," bitterness filled my tongue just with his mere thought. "Why would you abort my child?" "How I wish you had first seen your ugly face in the damn mirror before confessing your shitty feelings to me!" He smiled cunningly while taking a sip from his wine. The floor beneath my feet slipped off like an ice as he brutally threw another dagger towards my heart "You are just a piece of shit, YOU UGLY GOLD DIGGER! You should have at least compared our statuses." He spat those words right on my face while his olive green eyes boiled with lava.I cried like a child and voiced my pain in between those merciless hiccups "I neither loved your money, nor your looks, nor your status. It's only your soul which I had dearly loved since 18 years, Shahveer for God's sake don't do this" I begged him while joining both of my hands. His friends laughed hysterically while calling me with abusive names. He came closer and raised his wine up to the level of my eyes making me feel cringe "Apparently, your filthy caliber doesn't match my prestigious one, sweetheart. Your face is not even worthy to be spat upon" And that's when my whole world collapsed. I blurted out something which I shouldn't have had "I pray to my Lord! May you suffer through the same pain which you have given to me" I cried He laughed "May you madly and deeply fall in love with someone who would also laugh at you" That cunning smile eventually started to fade "May you crazily fall in love only to get humiliation in return and may your heart bleed with the pain of rejection" I continuously denounced evil prayers upon him until my vision started to black out What happens when two spiritually opposite souls are destined to be attracted towards each other but one has to lead a regretful life, while the other has to kill all the dreams? To know more, join the painful spiritual journey of an innocent soul and a ruthless man and let the love whisper through your soul. Armine stood before the tall, tarnished mirror, her reflection cold and mocking. The ornate frame, once gold, had dulled over time, its roses twisted like thorns. The room around her, grand with silken curtains and gold-trimmed furniture, felt suffocating. The air was thick, heavy with regret. She stared into the glass, not seeing a princess, but a shadow of herself-broken and lost. "Will there ever be a day," she whispered, her voice trembling, "when I stop hearing you laugh at me? When I stop hearing that I was never meant for the crown?" The reflection seemed to smirk, its cruel laughter echoing in the silence. "You were never meant to wear the crown. Thorns are meant for you, to choke you. You will never be his." The words hit like daggers. She wanted to look away, but the mirror held her in its grip. She felt suffocated by her own thoughts, by the weight of the crown she never wore, the love she never had. "Madam..." Alicia's voice broke through the silence. "You are so much more than this. Your worth is not in a crown or his love." Armine shook her head, her hollow smile barely visible. "He will come back, Alicia. But not to save me. He will come back to remind me of the game I've lost. I am nothing but a fool in this cruel story." She turned away from the mirror, but the laughter followed her, filling her ears. "Life isn't beautiful for everyone," she whispered. "It's for those whose fates are touched by angels. Mine... was touched by the dead." Alicia reached out, but Armine stepped back. The mirror's cruel truth echoed in her mind-she was never meant to be the princess, never meant to be his.

"You walked into the lion's den, sweetheart," he whispered, stepping closer. "And lions don't let go so easily." He looked down at her leg, at her trembling hands, and the fear in her eyes. "A beautiful young girl like you," he chuckled, "shouldn't have come here alone. You should have brought help beforehand, thought about your safety first." She tried again. Nothing. Her hands began to shake. She looked up at him, horror dawning in her eyes. "You planned this." He chuckled darkly. "No. But I don't exactly leave loose ends." She gulped, realizing she'd taken a foolish step and landed into the lion's den. His amusement faded, replaced by a dark intensity. His eyes seemed to bore into her soul. He closed the door, the sound echoing through the room. His gaze roamed her face, her skin now a pale canvas of fear. "Beautiful," he whispered, his voice laced with satisfaction. He examined her wounded leg, his touch gentle. "Now, you're my hostage too,"he murmured."No not just my hostage, but rightfully mine.I won you." Her eyes snapped open. "I didn't want to involve you,"he continued, "but seems like fate has different plan." Her gaze fell, shame and fear mingling. His fingers brushed against her wounded leg. Her tears landed on her lap.Her mind raced with worst-case scenarios. His fingers lifted her chin. "You should've brought an army, sweetheart. Not just a pretty face." Ayzal's patience snapped as she poked him hard in the chest. "What have I done to deserve this?" Her voice shook with a mix of anger and hurt. He stayed silent, his eyes avoiding hers, hands stuffed in his pockets. She yanked him closer, her breath hot against his face. "I need to know why you have been shutting me out. For months, I have felt invisible to you. Don't I mean anything?" Her tears began to flow freely, and she wiped them away with frustration. "If it is too hard for you to be with me, then just say it. I can't keep living like this, feeling abandoned. Please, if you don't want me, let me go."
