Before a young orphaned Unicorn shapeshifter entered Hades and Hazel's life, many things happened. For every story has a beginning. For Hades Ha, his childhood wasn't the best, but at least he had his neighbor Tyler to lean on. In the firm everyone's lives are already planned out for you. The main plan is to shape you into a warrior. One of the many things Hades can't do causes him to meet Hazel Hawkins: the strongest warrior in the predator division. As their friendship blossoms, so does another emotion. A forbidden love due to Hazel being engaged off to Leo, the most arrogant person to live. In a bid to be together and free, they plan an escape. To be together, they have to break the number one rule: go to the outside world. Follow the journey from the very beginning about how they met to how they escaped the heavily guarded walls of the Firm.

Hawkwhisker's Path

Her scowl has my wolf whimper in submission and makes me curse my self-imposed hard line. "I am going to need your hoodie," she orders, stretching her hand out to me. "What?" I exclaim, briefly shocked by both the tone and the content of her words. My hands however are already executing her command, unzipping my jacket. "The last time I was able to sleep, I was covered with your hoodie. Your scent is comforting." She states it plainly as if it would be an obvious and broadly known fact. Like the Earth being round.
