Magic, its what it was. Full blown magic. It was insane. Something only she thought of in her dreams and yet here, right in front of her very eyes was magic. Rose paused and looked at the older boy.

His blonde hair shifted in the wind. Maddox turned back to face her. The senior glared at the girl and she couldnt tell what he was going to do.

"How much did you see?" He spoke, water dripped from his arms. The ink covering his body glimmered and flickered. He was on fire. Embers twinkled around him, like sparks. It was pure magic.

"Enough to be scared."

"Than that's more than enough."

Rose Phelps is new to Harrison Central High School. Its a small, close knit town. Everybody knows everybody here and when Rose and her family move in. They're forced under the microscope.

As Rose starts to grow up she meets Maddox. A senior who in a few short months is going to graduate, whom still has no idea what he wants to do with his life. With his mother as Rose's english teacher the town starts to learn more and more. But, as the town starts to learn, Rose begins to learn as well. And sometimes small towns hold the biggest secrets.
