Belle just wants adventure, a place to explore and live in, other than the small French town she lives in. While her father Maurice seems to be settled with his own inventions, Belle struggles to tell the most popular man in the village, Gaston, that she absolutely has no intention of marrying him. Gaston however, feels that Belle is just the one for him. As Gaston continues to swoon over himself and Belle, Belle ponders over the reason she is motherless. When Maurice's horse Philip, who was supposed to take him to a far away market, runs back, Belle chases after Maurice, and finds herself at an ancient, and what looks inhabitant castle. What awaits her inside, has become history.....
