My life is normal. Well sort of. My mom is still grieving for my dad even though it has been years. My whole life changes when I meet my "Guardian", a handsome boy named Aidan. Well, now we're on the run because they think we murdered people even though we just saved them from demons. Did I forget to mention that I am "the Defender", who will supposedly save the world? The whole world's fate rests on my shoulders. No pressure. But Aidan holds a secret about his past that could destroy us all.

I softly traced his lips with my finger and then slowly leaned forward until our lips were so close that I could feel his warm breath on my skin.
