"I stared into the vast bright sky. As I did, I felt a strange longing to take off into the blue as if I had wings. That urge got stronger as I reached the top of the hill I had been climbing. I walked up to a ledge and stared at the trees below. I sat down, my legs dangling off the edge. I stared into the canopies, imagining the life teaming within them. The sun beamed in through the trees. The birds sang cheerfully and I flopped onto my back. There was an unusual numb pain below my shoulder blades as I landed. Where those... lumps?"

Ruby's Desire
Ehm... where am I? I'm standing Completely Naked on a small grassy Hill. The Grass almost goes up to my Hips, and all around the Hill is just a Sea of Fog. The more I look around and concentrate, the more I can see. The Fog slowly begins to clear as the Sun rises. Hidden beneath the Fog is a trampled Battlefield and bloody remains. Here and there are Bones, broken Armor, weapons, and broken shields, half sunken in the Mud. Some are new, and some have long begun to rust. I gasp, take a step back, and fall. I look in Horror at the Carnage in Front of me. Follow the Story of Ruby, a newborn Demon trying to fulfill their Desire in a New World filled with Magic, Wonder, and Dread.

"A short yelp escaped her as she slipped off the edge with a fist full of flowers. I shrieked her name and dove off after her. I grabbed her, hugging her close to me. "What the hell are you doing, Decoda! We're going to die!" She shrieked. "Come on, come on!" I chanted, willing my wings into existance. Fire surrounded me and I opened my wings, appearing almost stationary in mid air only about 20 meters from the water. Before I could move them, a horrid shot of pain ripped through my wing as I fealt it tear. I shrieked and whirled around as my wings deteriorated and hit the water first. A stabbing pain in my back hit me first, then another one in the back of my head, causing my vision to black out."Complete

She'd spent many years playing in this forest as a child. While Selene had enjoyed her novels in the warmth of the house, a blanket wrapped around her narrow shoulders, Sidra always came home covered in mud and scrapes from hours out in the wilderness. She'd take an axe out into the forest and pretend to fight off monsters, the terrifying Mystics that her grandmother had told her stories about. She'd pretend to fight Lycans, knocking out their massive teeth one by one. She'd stand atop rocks and throw her axe at the trees, pretending they were wood nymphs come to steal her away. She'd always return home and tell Selene about the monsters she'd fought that day, spinning together a story of courage and bravery for her little sister. She felt that pain in her heart again as she thought of those times. Through the years, she'd stop going into the woods to play, and she'd instead find stories for Selene. Books of all sizes and shapes, no matter the content, because it made her feel close to her sister just as she had before her parents died. She thought of her family now, how she was all alone. Her parents had been gone for years, her grandmother, and now even Selene was missing somewhere. She needed to find her sister, she couldn't lose the last bit of her family. **Complete

Another sharp pain hit me hard, causing me to drop down to the ground. I managed to catch myself but found myself flying through traffic. I nearly got hit by a car. I flew back up high.
