It was the end of the world. Zombies were everywhere. Still, Marissa found the time to look for something that most thought of as useless. She was looking for love. Will she find it or will zombie hordes hinder the blossoming of love in the time of the apocalypse. Is it possible to not only survive in the new, zombie-infested world but also allow love into one's heart?

It all happened in one day. The nuclear explosion. The gas spilling out of the nuclear plant and poisoning people. The gas moving over the grave yard and the dead popping out a couple minutes later. People eating others. It's so much. I don't know if I will be able to survive.

It a town where not everyone is as they seem, is it possible to full in love or will doing so result in deadly circumstances?

My best friend was most likely one. I ran from her. My parents were one. I shot them. This really cute guy was one, I nearly shot him before he came running and screaming at me like a stupid idiot. This really cute guy wasn't one. After witnessing her dead teacher come back to life, Leo decides to go on the run. Armed with a backpack full of essentials (does portable chargers count?) and her Dad's rifle, she learns to survive with the help of new friends. Zombie apocalypses can bring unlikely people together. But how close are they getting?
