Sweet Dreams: A Modern Fairytale
This is inspired by a writing project I supervised when I worked with an elementary student. This writing project was a group project to make their own spin on a fairy tale assigned to the group. It had to have all the main points of their fairy tale, start and and with the common phrases of a fairy tale, and it had to have their own creative spin. My student did Cinderella, and it was so fun to work with him and his group, I wanted to make my own. Our dear Cinderella loves to bake, but she's not exactly looking for love when an opportunity to make a name for herself comes up. As for Prince Charming, he is looking for love, just not in the usual fairy tale fashion. And as usual, there's some extra mischief from the step family, royal family, and fairy godmother. Heaven only knows what's going to happen, right?Complete

I'm not 'Cinderella'
I'm not Cinderella I never really believed in fairy tales and love at first sight. I always looked at Cinderella as a desperate fictional creature because all logical reasons shows that: 1). You cannot meet someone for the first time and call it love at first sight (maybe infatuation might be okay). 2) You cannot run away with him the second time you meet him all because one stupid slipper fits you. Have you ever wondered why Prince Charming never divorced Cinderella because they were total strangers they didn't know themselves. Anyways my own Cinderella story as Fannie Lambert starts when I go to the mall to buy my own slipper...Complete

Living a life out of a fairytale story is really not as it is cut out to be. I mean, Cinderella had to clean up a whole mansion by herself every day. Belle had to put up with a housemate who needed a shaver as much as he needed anger management classes. And don't even let me get started with Snow White and her stepmom's drama. Really, Rapunzel of the 21st century? I would rather be a tree. At least I would be contributing oxygen to the world. -------------------- Arianna had lost track of the number of houses, schools and countries she had moved to in order to run away from her crazy stalker until finally her Dad had just had enough and locked her up in the penthouse of The Tower, a building he owned in the city, with only her flamboyant cousin for company. But one desperate decision to sneak out of the house one night caused her an eventful meeting with Tristan, a mysterious boy, who suddenly seemed to be cropping up all the time after that first meet. "Well princess, looks like we match." a deep husky voice said into my ear. "Excuse me?" i asked, not completely sure what he ment. "Your costume. We match. Princess and prince." He said, gesturing to himself. Something about his presence scared me, but excited me at the same time. And I felt my heart rate speed up under his stare. "Actually, im a fairy." i said turning my shoulder so he could see my small wings. He gripped my shoulders tightly and ripped the wings from the material of my dress. His actions shocked me and i gasped feeling his warm hand on my neck and breath at my ear. "Not anymore, love. You're my princess now." I turned my head to look at him and found his face intimidatingly close to mine. I was searching through my head looking for anything to say. My instincts were telling me to push him away, but my hands wouldn't move. I was completely paralyzed by his stare.Complete
