Do you recall that friend group you had in your early years? The ones you thought would stay together until the end? Well everyone has those, some last while most of them fade. Mine faded.

The last time I saw them was the road trip we all took after graduation day. Stuffing our caps and gowns into the trunk, along with some bags of our things, all six of us headed out to see things we never thought we would see.

It was a very fond moment that I still carry to this day. But once we came back to the town we shared our whole life, the atmosphere changed. One by one, we stepped out of that car with empty yet faint smiles. And as soon as we did, that was the last I ever saw of them.

Until now.
