This story takes place in the first HTTYD movie, during dragon training. 
     
   The chef's son has trouble making his spot in his clan. Hiccup Horrindous Haddock III. He obviously has a crush on the best teen warrior in the villiage. Everyone gives him a hard time, all except one girl. Astrid Hofferson. One day during dragon training Astrid says something to Hiccup, that she greatly regrets.

Hiccup has loved Astrid for as long as he could remember and believes the only way for her to love him is, if he captures and kills a night fury. When he finally captures a night fury there is a change of plans, as he's been placed first in dragon training he plans to flee the village but gets caught and everything changes. Astrid who has always had a crush on Hiccup gets worried when she overhears a conversation the village was having about him, and decides to try and find him in the woods but instead discovers a big secret he hides.
