Inspired by William O'Connors'  'Dracopedia'.  

Felix is a rural girl and she's quite proud of it.  
When the Riders make their yearly rounds,  they are a wee bit desperate for North American Riders for some odd reason.  

They don't be prejudice,  and girls are allowed.  
Felix soon learns what she didn't know.  
Not many dragons live in North America.  

So,  she's moved to a more dragon friendly area.  
South America.  
More specifically The South American Dragon Academy

When she meets Finn,  and visits his home,  everything goes wrong.

*THEY/THEM* *Book 1 of 2* Every year, swaths of 20-year-olds descend upon a college campus. Unfortunately, this college specializes in war, in consideration of the one raging at its borders. Outposts and enemies line the eastern mountains, guarded by many from the army, but most notably, the Dragon Riders. (Y/N)'s future was determined long before they were born. As far as they were concerned, none of that destiny included Basgiath; not after they watched their grandfather descend into mad ramblings from his battles after bonding a dragon, then fell to the whims of a power-hungry Colonel who would do anything to hurt them. The quadrant destroyed the good and empowered the bad, and they wanted nothing to do with it, no matter what their name spelled. Xaden Riorson's future was clear, no Basgiath or dragons in sight. That was, until he was 16, when his father's apostasy-turned-secession fell apart; his home was burned; and his father went missing, only to be reported by someone he thought was an ally, then murdered. Unfortunately for both of them, Basgiath wouldn't let them off so easily. Xaden had a two year head start and became a Wingleader, ready-and willing-to sacrifice anything to fulfill his goals. Some may call them selfish and many call him ruthless, but he's no stranger to prescribed titles. (Y/N) stood before the bridge, but they had no intention of making it across. Their ruined future and unstable life would be given to a cause much more worthy than the torture of Basgiath: their mother, their father, and their patron: Zihnal, the God of Chaos.

*Book 2 of 2* Every year, hundreds die within the walls of Basgiath War College. It's no surprise that many are those who choose the Riders Quadrant. Dragons do not tolerate much, but neither do the ruthless gryphons on the outside of the wards. At least, that's what Basgiath teaches. (Y/N) has never prescribed to its lessons and doesn't intend to know, not with rising suspicions making every interaction spawn more paranoia. They must grapple with the knowledge that some people know things about them they really wish they didn't. Worse, they know those people tell whoever closest to them if it ensures their destruction, especially now that their death will kill the son of the Great Betrayer. Xaden Riorson has been the proverbial thorn in the side of the kingdom of Navarre since his conception. Now that he's survived the Rider's Quadrant with the third most powerful dragon on the Continent, some are tuning into what might be the best way to strike him down. Unfortunately for him, he's not as stoic as he likes to think when a certain person stands by his side.

Lotus felt a woman was unfit to fill such a responsible position, and took his rage out on them, killing the Captain after a days battle. He banishes Erin, sending troops after her, for her head. However, she was smarter than that, and saw that coming. She travels with Rune, a man who saved her life during the previous days battle, reluctantly. Rune is a secret assassin for Queen Eiva, who has sent him on a mission to find out about this upcoming war, threatened by a group called the Pandoreos. He has his own secrets that not even the queen knows, however, Dakota, a wolf who can speak to Erin, can tell he's hiding something. Erin eventually struggles with her feelings toward Rune. When the threat of the Pandoreos worsens, Rune is called back to queen Eiva. Rune commands Erin to travel with Kier, a man who has a special hatred for these Pandoreos, and warn Queen Beatrice, and King Cecerion about the upcoming war, in hope for an alliance with Queen Eiva. That is, if the humans can stay one step ahead of the Pandoreos.
