Twelve years later she discovered a young man outside of these same woods, lying unconscious with his clothes torn to shreds. But when he woke up, he couldn't remember anything at all. When Amber's father agreed to take him in, the young man began to show signs of impossible abilities. Amber wonders if he has any connection to the monster that killed her mother, and while finding out who he is, he might put her in danger.

He met her in the woods, a girl made of silence and fog. She came and went like a haunting, leaving traces of something he couldn't name. He wrote her into his notebooks, into his skin, into every thought that still felt human. But the deeper he follows her, the more the world unravels. The lines blur between devotion and delirium, love and illusion. And when the forest finally swallows their story whole, only one question remains: Was she ever real, or did he dream her into being?
