For the last five years Alese's life has been in a cycle, that she doesn't really have control over. It started when she was nine and her mom left. Her dad decided she was mature enough to get sent off. New school, get expelled, and sent home-- much to her father's rage-- then it just starts over and over again. With a past like that it's needless to say Alese is lost. All she wants is to be somewhere as a steady home. When she comes to the newest of the schools that might happen. However just because she gets to stay doesn't mean things are easy. Once she meets her new group if misfits she joins them on the wild unexpected roller coaster of old and new, tangible and translucent, dark and light. She is brought into the world of Spirits.
