"Good morning, Hazel." Head nurse Adele comes up to me. "Good morning, Nurse Adele." I smile. "Are you finished with your rounds?" "Yup, just finished." "Great, but I'm going to need you to stop by room 204." The smile wipes off my face. Room 204 was my uncles old room. Ever since I've volunteered here, no ones ever been put in the room. "Hazel?" She waves her hand in my face. "What? Oh, yeah, I'm sorry." I scramble to look at my chart. "Um, but I don't have room 204 on my chart." "Yes, I know. His name is, Nelson Hemmings. He's new; he was brought here last night, after you left. He's 17 and an all around sweet boy. I'm going to add him to your chart; I think it'd be good for him to get some teenage association. Please, it'd really be helpful." "Um, okay. Yeah, I can do it." Hazel Saturn, volunteers at a psychiatric hospital. She's only 15, but it's a small town and they needed all the help they could get. She loves volunteering there, the workers and most of the patients are nice, the hours aren't bad, and it's great volunteer work. Everything seemed alright in her life until someone gets put into the room where her uncle had stayed in before his death. Of course, Hazel is put to help out and spend time with the new patient, Nelson. Everything was great at first, but one night changed it all. Nobody was supposed to get hurt, but it seems like the ones that got hurt the most are Hazel and Nelson. Can Hazel ever go back to being how she used to be or is that all gone? People aren't always what they appear to be. Life can be full of terrible things, but it can also be filled with wonderful ones.

I woke up in a hospital bed, the pain I was feeling was intense. All I remember was practicing gymnastics and then well everything went black. And now the only things I hear are the sound of my heart monitor and the slow dripping of the IV into my arm. The air in the room felt stale, the silence was so "loud" I felt like I could hear my own heart beat. I heard I light knock on the door to my room, the doctor walked in, kind of solemn looking. While practicing one day she fell off a high beam and was knocked unconscious, while in the hospital she is informed her parents were in terrible car accident and her mother is now in a coma. Throughout the story Jessica's family breaks, her friendships grow, her trust deteriorates, lost loves return, many tears are shed and hearts are broken but despite the pain her life goes on. With the Help of her best friend Ashley Bennett, her strong will and unwavering fight, Jessica learns to believe In the impossible and to not let go of the things in life that mean the most to you.Complete

Hello, I want to first thank you for taking the time to read my proposal, as I know that there are many others you must work through who have done the same as I; please, trust me when I say that your attention is greatly appreciated. I am messaging you today because I wish to submit a selection of excerpts taken from the series of science fiction/science fantasy stories I have written; called Psychic the Saga. I'm a former United States Marine, and a currently enrolled Aerospace Engineering undergrad at the University of Central Florida in Orlando. Over the course of the last eight years, during which the earlier stated experiences have occurred in my adult life, I have continually written the story I am now presenting for your consideration. Outside of writing as a hobby, and what was needed when submitting assignments, my only writing credential is a published engineering research paper in the European Physical Letters: 'Tailorable Twisting of Biomimetic Scale-Covered Substrate'; of which, my main contributions were that of the experimentation, and the editing/proofreading of the paper. In regards to my submission, the story of Psychic follows our trio and the rest of their friends as they fight for peace and stability within the newly unveiled realm of psychics, once hidden amongst the world for untold millennia. The statistics of Book One are as follows: word count = ~205279, page count = ~396, target audience = young/new adult (16~34 yr. of age). The reasoning behind this age range is two-fold: the concepts, morals and lessons, themes, and situations/ problems faced by the main characters are both relatable and beneficial for this age group; also yes, there is foul language, and yes there are very visceral depictions of violence.
