Ring of Fire, circle of flames

Five wild spirits that shall never tame

These are the cubs the moon has chosen

To fix the world that is ever broken

Born under the light of the lunar eclipse, Isa was marked with a destiny to stop the endless fighting between the Canidae. Her powers clearly symbol her tie with the Hidden Moon Prophecy that foretells her future, and the future of four other Canidae youth. However, though some foxes see the ever-growing magic as a gift.. Others see it as a curse to the forest and the world beyond. Barely anyone in her own tribe trusts her to make the right choices, or to save all of Anisoptera, for the matter. So Isa is thrown away into the river, and if saving the world really is her part of her destiny, she will have to survive the wild, first.

To a loner named Sun, life's been hard ever since her mother left her because of a power she didn't understand. On her own for just about three moons, she thinks she's hardened and strong enough to take on any cat who comes at her. Oh, how was she wrong. Soon, she runs into the four Clans: CloudClan, HollyClan, BreezeClan, and FlowerClan. She joins CloudClan, determined to start over and make a new life for herself. She doesn't need her mother. She doesn't need anyone but her new family, her Clanmates. On the night of her official welcoming into the Clan, something changes her mind: a prophecy, from the ancestors of her Clanmates. The prophecy states that the "apple will rise." The daughter of the leader, Applefoot, was never friendly with her. Suddenly, a plot seems to be uncovering itself right in front of Sunpaw's eyes. And with her power, she's the perfect candidate to rise to the top and save everyone. But something is stopping her. Something is tainting her soul, persuading her to use her powers for evil, and not good. Unless she can break free of what's binding her, she won't be able to use her powers for good. All she'll be able to do is cause pain, more pain, and even more pain. But it's not so easy, especially when she's got herself tangled in the ropes of the darkness. Suddenly, she realizes that she's no better than Applefoot. Paired with slowly falling hopelessly in love with a cat who never is clear with her, breaking free of her dark insides is seeming harder and harder. If she can't do it, then she'll never be able to see the face of good again. She'll be another apprentice gone wrong, and all she'll be remembered for is darkness. Sunpaw can't let that happen. But unless she figures out how to cut herself free from the darkness, then it will happen. And there will be nothing she can do it about it.

[COMPLETED] (Book 1/3) It was him. It was his scent, there was no mistaking it. For months I was searching and now, I know he's here, his musky scent has never been stronger. I ran through the trees and stopped to catch my breath for a second. I couldn't see him. I couldn't hear him. But the mate bond made it possible for me to sense him still. And now, I could smell him, he was so very close. I closed my eyes to collect myself when I felt a hand make its way over my eyes, and an arm slithered around my waist. Ecstasy like I have never felt before swelled in my chest as I relaxed in his arms. I could feel the tears of happiness in my eyes. That's when I heard him speak, and I could almost hear my heart shattering. "You have to stop looking for me, my love." I was still processing his words, before I realized that he was gone. ... "Who's out there?" One of the men yelled. Of course only silence met them. I remained quiet and waited for the group to start moving again. "Maybe it was just an animal." Someone whispered. The person, who I assumed was the captain of the small squad, signaled for them to walk again. They clearly showed fear as they kept going; brandishing their weapons to guard themselves with. "Two are holding lanterns. I'll tell you when you're too close to them." I heard my friend whisper in my ear. I followed the men as I picked up another branch and waited for the right time to break it. They continued to walk through the forest, turning their heads in every direction as if an animal might lunge at them and rip their throats out. I guess in a way I was going to do that. "Go back a few feet." My friend whispered. I carefully distanced myself from the group and waited. "Where is she?" I quickly snapped the stick as soon as he finished asking the question. They stopped and two soldiers raised their lanterns to shine its light in the darkness. I quickly hid behind a tree before both of them turned where I was. A low frustrated growl came from one of the men, "The girl's playing with us. She's out here following our every move." How paranoia can cloud the mind. At nine years old, Silver decided to leave her village for the forest. Since then, she's been hunted; everyday is a fight for her life, every breath she takes could be her last, but she's determined to stay alive. Her life isn't the kind anyone would want to live but she's managed to survive this long so, what's a few more years?

*His eyes were the first thing I noticed as he looked up at me. Such a dark blue they reminded me of sapphires. My heart jumped at the feel of them as he held my gaze. I was in a trance unable to look away and it was as if he could see into the very soul that gave my body life. My skin crawled with goosebumps as his eyes changed from curious to predatory in a matter of moments. A shudder passing through me as my heart beat faster. He could see me. Like really see me and I cringed at the gut wrenching fear that ran through me, watching as his tongue ran smoothly over his lips. He looked like a predator about to hunt his prey. Me being that prey. His grin was intimidating as he spoke to the boy next to him and began to come my way.* Lacey Yasmine just moved to the small town of Moonlight Creek with her aunt seeking new lives in a place where they could start over. A place where their demons would be safely locked away behind the barrier. A place where they wouldn't dare to follow. Lacey could feel it like she felt everything. Until unforeseen situations take place and the life she worked so hard to rebuild begins to crumble changing for all time. Change was good.
