Aliyah Hamid, one of the daughters of Zakir Hamid, belonged to the family which was considered the royalty of the town, so Aliyah grew up as nothing less than a princess. An ambitious young Muslimah, Aliyah was used to getting things done the way she wanted them as long as they were within fold of Islam and halaal.
When she decides to leave her country to study, she has everything planned out. But when she meets Farshad Abdul Swamad, everything seems to change somehow. And that's when Aliyah realises that things don't always go the way we plan, because the Qur'an states: "And they plan, and Allah plans, and Allah is the best of Planners" [Qur'an 8:30]
