Amber Starling is a typical girl who wants to be accepted and have a place where she belonged. Nothing out of the ordinary but the thing is, the world wasn't on her side at all. She transfers in a new school and becomes a loner. She doesn't get along well with her "guardians" and most of all, she's surrounded by furry human like creatures called Anthropoids that she is deathly afraid of. Her life far from her ideals but what does it lead to?
