"So," she smirked, "Why did you never return my letters?"
I had never received a letter. But when I tried to tell Grace such, she scoffed loudly. "Ridiculous, I sent and sealed them myself. Are you implying sabotage?" she teased.
"I'm not implying anything," I shrugged.
"Preposterous," she said, "Nonetheless, I have another letter here. My offer remains. Would you like to become a Knight?"
"I'm not sure I understand," I said.
"I can explain. You're one of the strongest Alveocians I've ever seen. I wouldn't be surprised if you could trace your lineage back to royalty," she said, as I held up a hand to stop her.
"I'm an orphan, and let me stop you there," I said, "I'm nobody. Always have been, always will be. Yeah, I built my own place, and I'm more than content to be alone."
I said that, and looked away, offering no more words of sage advice to the young Princess. She sat there, embroiled in thought, and she opened her mouth a few times as though she had something to say, before she shook her head.
"Nobody who is content to be alone would say so," Grace said.

"I pick up the book from the table and start reading. It is a novel about a girl who is lost in a world unlike her own. A realm where mythical creatures roam freely and magic is as common as the air she breathes. The girl, with her fiery spirit and unyielding determination, embarks on a quest to find her way back home. As she journeys through enchanted forests and crosses treacherous seas, she encounters beings of all sorts - benevolent fairies, mischievous sprites, and even fearsome dragons. Each encounter, each challenge, shapes her, transforming the lost girl into a brave heroine." - Barracks
