Kili is living the life of an ordinary 16 year old dwarf, his brother has gone to college and he lives with his extended family, his mother Dis, Uncle's Thorin and Bilbo, Bilbo's nephew Frodo and his cousins (Thorin children) Raven and Brandin. 

Kili has a massive crush on a girl in his archery class, a war breaks out just before his 17th birthday, someone he does not expect returns home, injured and Kili revenge for them.
