Hot shot is a very playful and active child who loves to run jump climb and play. He lives with his father Heatwave and his mother Quickshadow. Heatwave is a firefighter and Quickshadow is a pediatric nurse. They all live in Fort Worth Texas and have a very happy life there. Hot shot is a very good, kind, smart, and generous little boy with a big heart. Hot shot loves to be with his family. Hot shot starts to feel unwell. He has a bad headache, he is vomiting, he is tired, he has a stiff neck, he is walking funny, and he has a head tilt. Hot shot feels so unwell one day his parents take him right to Cook Children's hospital out of worry. There they do an immediate MRI from the ER. Hot shot is then diagnosed with a brain tumor in his cerebellum which is in the back of his brain. Hot shot's tumor is about the size of a kiwi fruit and the doctors take it out and test it. Then Hot shot is diagnosed with Medulloblastoma a type of brain cancer. Hot shot is brave and ready to face his cancer head on. Hot shot makes friends with four other kids his age with the same type of cancer. They decide to fight their cancer together and become the best of friends.
