The "school-to-prison pipeline," is a system of local, state, and federal policies that push students out of school and into the criminal justice system. This disproportionately affects students of color, students with disabilities, and LGBTQ students. These marginalized students would benefit from additional educational and counseling services, but instead they are unjustly punished and pushed out of school.
