Frostbite

The world is unfair - a fact Eira has known all her life. Some people are lucky, some are not. She is one of the lucky. Her adoptive brother Cerin is not.

In a world ruled by winter, there are chosen individuals who manifest powers that let them channel the ice and snow to their will. They are known as Permafrosts, or Frosts for short.

At twelve, all children are tested to see if they possess these powers. Most test negative, but some -the lucky few - test positive. Eira is one of them.

When her powers are revealed, she is dragged away from her mundane life and into one where she is trained to be a revered, powerful Permafrost warrior. However, as time passes, she begins to learn that maybe Frosts aren't so lucky at all. In fact, there is something dark going on behind closed doors. Perhaps the only ones who have a chance at fixing their corrupt society are the rising rebel groups in the city...
