Maddie was never a nice girl. She was bitchy, selfish, angry, ruthless and mean. She didn’t have any friends, or any boyfriends (but she was quite the guy magnet). She had two brothers, Andrew and Ben. Andrew rarely talked and Ben never shut up. Their dad passed away when she was three and they lived with their mother.

Maddie was lonely. Sure, she had As everywhere, she could get any guy she wanted and every girl envied her, but she was lonely. No one dared to talk to her and it annoyed her. She pretended she didn’t care but she really did. She just wanted someone to go up to her and talk to her, not hide in a corner and then ask her out and expect her to say yes.

She couldn’t even talk to her brothers about her problems because, well, they are at least two years younger than her and they were boys who would not be afraid to tell her how they were bored.

So she was stuck alone, arguing with the teacher when the door swung open.

Who would’ve known that that was the start of something different?
