The Dark King (Book 1)

The Northern Kingdom is known for it's citizens being magic-less. Their King, Valdus Craylle, secludes their boarders from the Western, Eastern, and Southern Kingdoms making sure no magical influence corrupts his people and overthrows him.

Byrd was taken at six years old along with young children who posses magic capabilities rare to their kingdom. The King, with powers far superior, wipes the children's memories and magical restrictions are placed on them. As one of King Valdus's children of magic, she works for him as spy while he holds the memory of her family against her.

Now assigned to the Dark King of the Southern Kingdom, Byrd must figure out his secrets without suspicion as King Valdus threatens to kill the parents she doesn't know if she doesn't cooperate. Turns out the Dark King has lived up to his rumors and is far more dangerous and powerful than she could've ever imagine.
