The Northern Kingdom is known for it's citizens being magic-less. Their King, Valdus Craylle, secludes their boarders from the Western, Eastern, and Southern Kingdoms making sure no magical influence corrupts his people and overthrows him.

The King, with powers far superior, wipes the children's memories and magical restrictions are placed on them. Now assigned to the Dark King of the Southern Kingdom, Byrd must figure out his secrets without suspicion as King Valdus threatens to kill the parents she doesn't know if she doesn't cooperate. Turns out the Dark King has lived up to his rumors and is far more dangerous and powerful than she could've ever imagine.
