(Previously known as Park Benches) They both sat beside each other in silence, the cool autumn wind blowing through the night. The boy turned slightly to look at the girl, letting out a puff of air and sighing deeply, trying to get her attention. She didn't notice, but he continued to gaze at her. "Have you ever noticed that even though we're just friends, we look at each other like we're about to kiss?" He asked, laughing quietly as he shook his head. "But, 'just friends' don't look at each other like that," she frowned, but began to laugh along with him. "Is that a bad thing?" He questioned once his laughter died down, cocking his head to the side in slight confusion. She shrugged. "Does it matter? We're only friends, me loving you probably wouldn't make a difference." The words stung her, but it didn't matter. She'd already fallen for him but it was whatever. He didn't like her back. And it was all because of the stars and that stupid, stupid park bench. © Fondre ™ 2017
