For all of Adelaide's life, she has been tucked away. The outside world is a mystery, apart from the window in her bedroom that grants her a glimpse of society. Adelaide has never seen a TV, has made very minimal contact with people and certainly doesn't know the first thing about being social.
When her mother, the cause of her isolation, is proclaimed dead, Adelaide is sent to live on her aunt's ranch. With only stepping foot outside a handful of times, Adelaide is frightened but enthralled with the new world she enters.
Maddox has worked for Missy Crane since he was a teenager. What started out as a debt to society turned into a life changing experience for Maddox. He owes Missy his life... So when an unexpected niece, with next to no social skills, arrives at the ranch, Maddox is first to offer his services.
Together, the two will find themselves made new with the love for one another and the love of God.

Lacey Anne Ferry grew up on a cattle ranch in Montana where riding horses was an everyday part of her life. She loved the horses, cattle, and the hard work that came with living on a working ranch. In the little free time that she had, Lacey rodeoed. When she wasn't running barrels, she was roping; when she wasn't roping, she was pole bending; when she wasn't pole bending, she was cutting...the list went on. Lacey Ferry was the one cowgirl that everyone wanted to beat. She was phenomenal at every rodeo event that she competed in. Everything that was familiar to Lacey came crashing down around her when a freak barrel racing accident left her paralyzed from the waist down...and terrified of horses. Two things that she never thought she'd be. Instead of being outside almost 24/7 like she was before her accident, Lacey now refuses to leave the house. The doctors say that Lacey will never be able to walk, rodeo, or even ride a horse ever again. New ranch hand, Chet Slade Reid, "Slade," sets out to show Lacey that that stuff doesn't really matter in the grand scheme of things. Can Slade help Lacey to get her confidence and love for horses back, or will her accident have left her too scarred to "get back on the horse" and "cowgirl up"? Slade was hired as a ranch hand, but as he sets out to help Lacey get the courage to ride again, he finds himself attracted to her. Despite his growing affection for her, Slade's dark past keeps him from telling Lacey his true feelings for her. Lacey sets aside her own insecurities to comfort Slade when a person from his past resurfaces. With God's help, will Slade and Lacey be able to live in the present but look forward to the future, or will they stay paralyzed in the past?

Jessie White stands out from the crowd. As a Southern woman, she defies the typical expectations for a twenty-four-year-old. While others her age might be in college or embarking on new careers, Jessie's upbringing on a ranch alongside four brothers equipped her with skills many would balk at. She's adept at horseback riding, calving, stall cleaning, and more. Fiercely independent, Jessie refuses to rely on any man, a resolve hardened after heartbreak at the hands of Max Lane, a rancher's son, two years prior. Jessie has resolved to take up bull riding, a skill that appears to be a family legacy. Her lifelong dream has been to ride a bull before an audience, but now, her ambition has shifted to rescuing the White Family Ranch after a substantial portion of their funds vanished and debts began accumulating. Max Lane's family is eager to buy the White Family Ranch, but Jessie refuses to let him take away the one thing that sustains her. Being a beauty bartender owner and a female bull rider makes things challenging. Everyone says she can't do it because she's a woman, but Jessie is determined to prove them all wrong. Initially skeptical, Trace Black doesn't recognize her potential until he witnesses her mount a bull for the first time. Although he may appear arrogant externally, that pales in comparison to his internal complexity. Trace and Jessie are initially oblivious to their chemistry, though it's evident to everyone around them. As Jessie gathers the courage to express her feelings to Trace, the things she dreads occur. However, it doesn't make matters worse; it alters everything profoundly. *WARNING* Book contains language, child loss, trauma, etc. Thank you for choosing my story! **Be aware that this is a manXman story so if that bothers you then please don't read! 5th in Breaking Series. There are certain things that make a man a man in late 1870's Texas. Being able to rope, ride and handle cattle to name a few. Shooting from the hip, playing poker and throwing back whiskey never hurt either. So to protect that secret, Nick keeps to himself as he works on the ranch at Atkinson Spread. He likes his job and the bosses are decent but Nick is lonely. Covered in scars, both of the physical and emotional variety, he longs for one person he can truly be himself around. That one person he can love. Aiden is running. He has already resigned himself to a life alone but that thought goes out the window when he lays his eyes on a ranch hand named Nick. Even then, Aiden knows he can't have Nick. This is a powerful and moving story. It's a testament to the strength of love, resilience, and the human spirit. Here are a few of the things that make this story particularly compelling: * Strong Characters: The characters are well-developed and relatable. Adeline's vulnerability, Colby's protective instincts, Sam's loyalty, and the unwavering support of Kris and Celina are all portrayed with depth and authenticity. * Intriguing Plot: The story blends elements of horror, romance, and family drama seamlessly. The suspense of Oliver's threats, the terror of his captivity, and the eventual triumph over adversity create a compelling narrative. * Emotional Depth: The story explores a wide range of emotions, from fear and despair to love, joy, and the profound gratitude for life and family. The emotional rollercoaster is both intense and believable, drawing the reader deeply into the characters' experiences. * Focus on Family: The story emphasizes the importance of family, both blood and chosen. The support system that Adeline and Colby build around them, the love and resilience of their friends, are crucial to their survival and happiness. * Hopeful Ending: Despite the darkness of the past, the story ends on a note of hope and optimism. The image of the family together, celebrating growth, is a powerful reminder that even in the face of adversity, love and resilience can prevail.
