A woman with a past marked by cruel experimentation and unknown secrets is suddenly met with the appearance of a test subject she assumed was dead. Will she be able to escape this dark reminder or will she succumb to decades-old memories and the very thing which she has yearned to fight her entire life?

Three months ago, a thick, white powder covered the Earth overnight. Not snow, but spores, hundreds of spores, all from an unknown source. Those that came into contact with the substance became spore-touched: violent, uncaring, every one able to turn into plants hundreds of feet tall and rip apart the world itself. Three months ago, Mya lost her humanity, and with it, everything she knew. Not all at once, but every day is another memory gone, all washed over by new instincts, identities, and wants. In a city slowly being torn apart by the massive vegetation of her new kind, her options either to join their collective, or escape with what remains of herself, her days are spent surviving, and hiding amongst Humans. Humans that will burn her alive the second she's caught. The only thing she has is a water bottle and the goals of her former self, but the likelihood of achieving them in a post-apocalyptic world is bleak enough, and that's if she can still remember them by the end of the week. So when another spore-touched offers to take her to a supposed safe haven, all with the hope that they both can be turned back, she takes it. Not because this new companion seems like the most trustworthy person, not because they can promise to stop her from becoming a monster- She takes it because there's nothing else to choose. Maria had everything she ever needed. but, one fateful day, she loses it all. her lover, her home, her parents....everything. Broken and torn, she goes to America hoping she could try to start over but, an unexpected person intrudes her life and turns upside down and inside out. she struggles even more. But love comes in a least expected time, in a least expected way. ~... Sneak peak... ~ She talked in past tense when she talked about Arden. 'he was always there for me....' 'he had always known to lighten up the mood....' He thought it was his interest since childhood to be a detective was playing again but when he said something like, 'I already like this Arden of yours' A dark cloud settled on her face. Her eyes became glossy. James thought that she was going to cry. 'Yes' she said finally with an amused look in her face. 'you two could have gotten along just fine' ~............ ~ trigger warning!!! some characters might self harm, to escape from problems even for a tiny moment. This might trigger some people. White was given to an organization right after she was born, she was a mutant of her own kind, she was known as 72. Growing up from that place until she was five, she never knew anything else except for avoid the needles, avoid the people in white coats and to stay strong. The day she turned five though, was the day everything changed. One kind guard set her free, she felt like a bird, she felt like she could fly and soar through the sky, to forget everything that happened in her past. She did for a while, but of course everything caught up to her. A year passed and White still remembered everything. From the smallest detail of the day. She was only six, on that day, exactly a year after she was able to escape from the Border, the only person that cared for her was killed, she was caught. She was back in bars, and the words that the guard told her still echoed in her mind. "Stay safe, stay alive," her life rules. And the years fly by, and still nothing happened. She was still trapped, caught, tamed. Caught in the act.... Tamed to fight.... Freed from her cage....
