A woman with a past marked by cruel experimentation and unknown secrets is suddenly met with the appearance of a test subject she assumed was dead. Will she be able to escape this dark reminder or will she succumb to decades-old memories and the very thing which she has yearned to fight her entire life?

Basically, this is a short story I wrote for a university application and I liked it so much that I decided to upload it here! The description sucks, but it's a short read so give it a go if you like!

It begins near the end, with a man intent on destruction, who feels most of his humanity has gone. As with so many others. Set in a future where almost all sentient life on earth no longer exists. Yet something remains. People continue to live as if nothing has changed, unaware that they are no more than copied memories running in an artificial substrate. In writing The Captured I've tried going some way to explore what defines sentience. Holy crap it's another one. Twin au because it's easier. ~~~ "Where does this go?" Y/n asked. "Wherever your heart desires." They answered. That was a strange way to answer wherever. The Girl in Bed
A young woman starts a new life for herself in Japan to get away from her past and get a fresh start. All while trying to get by with the dangers of what some saw as a new god and somebody not to be messed with at all being in the shadows. What will happen to her new life as she starts to get plagued by nightmares before those who did her wrong in her old life start to drop dead? Will she be able to have her new life stay intact and be able to open up about things? or is she destined to be alone and distant as two people on a task force try to become part of her life. Disclaimer: I do not own Death Note or the characters in the show. Along with the characters from Young Justice or the MCU. I just wrote this story from off of my head with a few characters of my own after I watched a few episodes.Concluida
The experiment.
They used my vulnerability against me. They used that weapon, to make me accept their stupid idea. And I of course, accepted it, I didn't even know what they were going to do. They tugged and poked and even shoved their disgusting finger in your wound, just to see you cry. To see you change. No pitty in their eyes. They just continue. They drag you around with metal chains, hit you and turn you into a experiment. But I had enough of the tugging, the clawing, the moaning, the crying and pleading for them to stop, but simply feeding them with our pain. They turned me into something, that neither do they know what I am. Their afraid of me, of my reflexes, my strength. I killed a lot of them. They say I have a cold heart, that I don't feel nothing. That's why they call me: Death -----------------------------------------************************************--------------------------------------------- Death. A teen girl, pitch black hair, black eyes, white skin. Her height is 5'8. People are scared of her, not just because of her strength but because of they way she kills. She lived in this hell hole, where they take her to rooms. Examine. Fight. She knows she won't be able to entertain them for long. She decides to run. Soul. Brown hair as mud, blue eyes as the sky. Hight 6'2. Tanned and toned body. Death's best friend in the hell hole they're in, he's as cold as she is. But shows a bit of sympathy. Well... More than her at least. He's been there for her, ever since she entered this place of crap. They're the two most feared. As some people say, they're a perfect couple. Killing. Fighting. Cold hearted creatures. SPOREFALL | ONC 2025
Three months ago, a thick, white powder covered the Earth overnight. Not snow, but spores, hundreds of spores, all from an unknown source. Those that came into contact with the substance became spore-touched: violent, uncaring, every one able to turn into plants hundreds of feet tall and rip apart the world itself. Three months ago, Mya lost her humanity, and with it, everything she knew. Not all at once, but every day is another memory gone, all washed over by new instincts, identities, and wants. In a city slowly being torn apart by the massive vegetation of her new kind, her options either to join their collective, or escape with what remains of herself, her days are spent surviving, and hiding amongst Humans. Humans that will burn her alive the second she's caught. The only thing she has is a water bottle and the goals of her former self, but the likelihood of achieving them in a post-apocalyptic world is bleak enough, and that's if she can still remember them by the end of the week. So when another spore-touched offers to take her to a supposed safe haven, all with the hope that they both can be turned back, she takes it. Not because this new companion seems like the most trustworthy person, not because they can promise to stop her from becoming a monster- She takes it because there's nothing else to choose.
