Azrael é o filho primogênito de Deus, e este é enviado à terra com a missão de procurar a espada de Lúcifer que está enfraquecendo o selo do céu com seu imenso poder. No meio desta procura em vão, ele encontra Thalia, a mulher por quem ele acaba se apaixonando. 
  Azrael é julgado e tem sua sentença dada pelo Arcanjo Gabriel, porém corta suas asas para viver como humano no planeta terra ao lado de Thalia. 
  Um acidente trágico acontece e muda drasticamente a sanidade de Azrael. Este torna-se aliado à Lúcifer no plano de dominar o céu e criar uma nova terra cuja ele seja o governador. 
  Assumindo o manto de Lúcifer, Azrael ressurge e batalha contra seu pai para concluir seus planos.
