"He's harsh. He works and works and works and spends little time outside of that. He shows little care towards the friendship we once had and he doesn't understand what I'm talking about when I tell him he is different. Apparently this is who he was all along and I don't get it. I don't know where that kind soul who met me at the park and teased me went, but he isn't the Mark that's here now." I sigh and spew as I'm talking on the phone.

"If he isn't nice and is gone, then why are you hung up on him? I've told you not to waste your time anymore, move on to something worthwhile." My friend says, offering any help she can.

Milo's been going through some intensive personal growth as his psychologist works with him on some unresolved issues and challenges that went undiagnosed when Milo was a child. Milo is in the process of learning to break free from poisonous words that filled his head as a child. Through it all he had one goal in sight: to be well enough to be with Emery. He works up the courage to contact her but finds a lot can change in a few months.
