Edgar Kelpheart is a student in his final year at Letchworth Academy of Demon-Hunting, up to his eyebrows in lessons, revision, and fighting demons. He spends any free time patrolling the streets of Portsmouth with his parabatai and his other friends, honing their skills for when they can finally become fully fledged members of the Sunder, the demonhunter's council. 
    
When the bodies of fairy children start appearing in Portsmouth's dark alleys, Edgar and his friends are assigned the case -- what they don't know is that this is far more complicated than a simple case of a rogue paranormal...
