Love is just a word until someone comes along and gives it a memory... You know you're in love when you can say anything to the person and you know they won't laugh at you. When you can see their face when you close your eyes. When you can still feel their arms around you holding you tight after they're gone. When you can still taste their kiss after you have said goodbye. You can tell you're in love when you miss them before they're gone. When their voice lingers in your ears. When their presence eases any pain. When their name sends chills down your spin. When they're the only thing you can think about. You know you're in love when you can see all their hopes and dreams and their soul when you look into their eyes. When they call you at four in the morning to say, "I Love You" and mean it. *WARNING STORY MAY BE TRIGGERING * She's black and mexican. He's a white boy who prefers to date white girls ONLY. He isn't against other races so he says it's just his preference. His dad is the main person concerned about the future Luna skin color. His abusive dad threatens to kill his mate if she's of color so is his preference in dating based on avoidance of conflicts ? The moon goddess doesn't give him a mate based on what his father will condone. When he meets his black and Mexican mate... he hurts her, bullies her, and most importantly Rejects her. Rejection from your mate can feel and lead to death of your wolf. At first she thinks he's just scared and doesn't take his rejected too hard but it still hurts. At a high school party he gets intoxicated with his friends and tends to find someone to bring upstairs to have fun with. Your typical fuck boy. His mate comes to the party and he brings her outside to apologize speaking based off his true emotions. Unfortunately later he won't let her think that was him showing his vulnerable side. He takes her virginity that night just to turn around early in the morning and treat her like she was just a piece of meat to him. He makes sure that she leaves the house feeling worthless to her alpha mate. Little does he know she's got a thing for revenge and tends to go too far. How far will she take the disrespect and lack of feeling loved? Is he always the bad guy ? Or is she just naïve and confused. *WARNING STORY MAY BE TRIGGERING* Intentions of this book: To bring light of the darkness of generational racism. Show light of The journey of a person of color in finding self love when you're not the definition of today's beauty standard. Overcoming racism that is taught from older generations not to just be a rebel but to make changes to the future because we are better as one who all bleed the same color. Many people don't know me, but I don't know who me is either. I can't tell you if I'm the loud or rude stereotypical black girl because Mom would say I need to speak up. I'm using my library voice with strangers. I can't tell you I'm the introvert because I like good company. I was born into a world that judges me before they get to know me. And try to attack the concept of happiness. I need it most in this filthy world we live in. I need you. Because you listened and didn't say a word. Just you being there was enough to make me believe you understood the troubles in my sentences and words spoken in a foreign language. I want myself back but I can't remember who I was. || Ebonee desires life to the fullest content as a brown skin but is constantly faced with life's realities that can never turn into her sudden dreams. As she is constantly faced with comparisons of her beauty, cruel judgment, and love she didn't expect it to turn out so unplanned in her premeditated life. || || Then there's Beau, who lives such a different world outside of the way Ebonee sees it as he tries to determine who is his out to kill him.
