In the summer of 1918 a tragedy echoed across the world when the Russian Imperial Romanov family was murdered by communists leaving much of the country crying out in mourning. Yet, there was a myth that one daughter, the youngest daughter; the Grand Duchess Anastasia had escaped. Though many disbelieved, for some this would prove to be more than a rumor and it would change their lives forever. Annalisa Peterson, a senior in high school, is dying to get out and move as far away from her family as possible. Anastasia "Stacey" Alexandra Yekaterina Romanova (nee Feodorovna in New York) has lived in Manhattan, New York for as long as she could remember. There, Stacey forms a bond with George, Charlotte, and Louis. She forms an even stronger bond with the adult royals. Stacey, Geoffrey, and their friends must navigate their way through High School, royal duties, jealousy, and threats (mostly aimed at Geoffrey). An unexpected attack occurs just hours after Queen Elizabeth's funeral was over, leaving everyone in shock. Not a clue in the world as to what was going on. "Mother" probably dead from a gunshot wound. "Father" watching as they were taken away. "Older Sister" trying to save them, but failing in the end. So they spent the next 21 years, mind controlled. Forced to be assassians. No freewill. That is, until an older widow, cracks the serum. Finds a way to get the girls their minds back.
