Earth is no more.
Planet Saylar is now host to the remainder of humanity as they try and build a new community on this very unexplored planet. The Council reiterate that it is necessary to send a team of 8 people per year into the unexplored zone, in hope that they will return with evidence of more food and water resources. The problem is - no one ever returns.
When Lacey's younger brother is chosen to join this year's exploration team, she goes to every length to uncover the horrifying truth behind why these 8 people never return. With the help from the love of her life, they work together to uncover what lies beyond the community border line.
