(Prologue)
In the land of Rictus, people were divided by social classes. Not the typical ranking by some old school medieval type. Yuck. They reconsidered and erased the thought of having slaves and higher being of humans. Instead, they wanted to change for the better.

Rictus was the land of riches and fame. It was a known city filled with knights and soldiers trained by the strongest leaders and went through vigorous training. Everything was good, the food, the environment, the atmosphere but the only problem was the government. They were defense freaks and wanted 100% protection causing the village to be divided. King Dalius II made different sanctums and assigned different people in each place.

But, because of this, the people were not united. Weak people were in one place causing them to be raided frequently. The strong ones were sent to work tirelessly everyday. The city was in havoc wanting freedom but the government leaders trapped them in their areas by creating large walls that circled around the townspeople.

Due to their weak relationships, the city of Rictus was attacked by another kingdom named Grimore. Tears went down people's eyes, fire landed on each corner and everyone was murdered by cold blood. King Dalius II fled and sought safety in an old cave that was once rumored that it was keeping an old artifact. Yet, the rumor was true.

King Dalius II found this and named it the Arcanum. He went to city of Rictus and used it against the kingdom of Grimore. The opposing team were easily defeated and were banished from their territory. With the remaining survivors, the king remade their city using the power of the Arcanum, but, they were cursed into living a life with magic and changed their lives and their social classes forever.

"So... what about us?" he asked, and I looked at him, a bit bewildered. "What?" I inquired. "You and me... what are we, Sera? You know how you affect me. You make me feel like I'm losing my mind, and I feel incomplete when you're not around. I yearn for your touch, your scent, and everything about you drives me wild," he admitted, his words close to my face. I let out a shaky breath as I felt a warmth spread through my body. "Thad, I think you're getting something wrong," I began, but he interrupted me. "No, you're the one refusing to admit that you're feeling the same way I am," he insisted, causing me to fall silent. He was right, I couldn't deny the feelings i had for him. They had always been there, but they had intensified with his return. ●●●●●●□□□●●□□□●●● In their final year of high school, Thaddeus and Sera epitomized the dream teen couple, envied by all. '4 Tribes, 4 Times we are used, 4 times we are separated for someone's thoughts on how this should be, and you wonder- was it always like this?' Four different tribes, based off of the four elements, have always been separate. Different rules, different royalty, different religions, different looks, different traditions, and different abilities embedded into each tribe. It's what make each one unique from the other. However, now, innocent kids are being thrown out of their tribe-disowned by their families; outcasted. One by one, each are no longer getting their 'correct' ability, and are removed by force- it feels unavoidable. A group of 8 unique kids, each coming from their own background, have been pushed together after being removed from their tribe. Driven by an urge to find out what is causing this mess- and a hate towards their rulers -the small group pushes on, unsure if they will succeed. Even with all they have been put through, some are still weary of four different tribes being together. Maybe this was meant to be? o° --- If you have read Paws in Talons, you will know that this is remake, using a little inspiration from what we wrote about a year ago from now. We definitely do see how it can be related to that, but we did not intend for that to be the outcome. Thank you!

For millennia, humanity has spread across the stars, thriving on countless worlds. Among them, the people of Eridani and other distant planets have long awakened their martial bloodlines, cultivating soul power that determines strength, status, and destiny. In contrast, Earth is seen as the weakest of all human worlds-a barren cradle where no superpowers exist, and where the very idea of cultivation is dismissed as myth. What Earthlings do not know, however, is that every human in the universe carries a hidden martial soul. The only reason Earth remained powerless was its thin atmosphere, starved of spirit energy-an invisible barrier no one ever thought to question. That truth remained buried until the year 3005, when a strange accident awakened the latent bloodlines of eight ordinary high school students. Suddenly thrust into a reality beyond their imagination, they are invited to Eridani, the heart of the Martial World. But among the prodigies of the planets in the human realm, the Earth-born are mocked as trash, dismissed as weaklings with no future. Their struggles seem destined to end in humiliation-until they meet a humble "janitor." Behind his unassuming role lies a man of profound mastery and secrets, one who recognizes the students' untapped potential. Guided by his teachings, the eight must navigate ruthless trials, deadly rivalries, and hidden conspiracies that threaten not only their place in the Martial Continent but the balance of power across the stars. Will these outcasts rise from scorn to shake the foundations of the martial world? Or will they remain forever branded as the weakest humans in the universe? In The Eyes Of Fate Series (Book One) "Don't even think about it." I stood frozen in place as he said those words from behind me, which sent shivers down my spine. The rain started running down my face as I started thinking of a way out of here. My body trembled in fear knowing that he could easily hurt me. I'm not strong against someone like him Thoughts raced through my mind as I tried to think of a way to get away from him. But there was nothing but endless trees around me. I blinked away the water running into my eyes due to the rain. My thoughts were disturbed when he suddenly spun me around to face him, his face just inches away from mine. "P-Please don't hurt m-me." I stuttered out. I tried to sound brave and not let my fear show, but my mouth betrayed me. His golden red eyes flickered with a hint of pain for a moment then back to a cold stare, "I'd never hurt you, never put you in harm's way and I'm never letting him take you from me, you're mine." He said in a deep low voice, almost a growl, and his eyes seemed to have gotten darker. 'What the hell is that supposed to mean?!' I tried taking a step back but his grip on my arm tightened. It hurt. "L-let me go, you, you're hurting me!" I looked up at him scared, his eyes were now completely dark, and the next thing I noticed were pointed teeth poking out from his lips. I screamed and pushed at him but he didn't budge. I then raised my knee and kneed him between the legs with all my force, and he dropped like a rock, holding his groin. Run. I took my chance. And ran. ~~~ Nora Brown, a normal adult, living a normal life. Moving away from home to start fresh and meet new people. Just going where life takes her. Five years ago, the world ended-at least, the world as humanity knew it. On a quiet evening, just as children were returning from school and families prepared dinner, the sky changed. The blue faded into a deep, unnatural crimson, and then... it tore apart. Portals, jagged and writhing like open wounds, appeared in the heavens. From them spilled creatures so alien, so horrific, they seemed like nightmares made flesh. These monsters slaughtered indiscriminately, leaving entire cities empty and entire bloodlines extinct. The ground they touched burned with Soul Fire, a cursed energy that warped nature itself-turning lush forests to ash, mutating animals, and poisoning water. Nighttime ceased to exist; instead, the crimson sky returned every sunset, transforming every evening into Dris, a time when stepping outside was suicide. Humanity was on the brink of extinction... until one man, Edric Valemont, killed a Riftborn with nothing but a spear and unyielding will. That act of defiance sparked hope and birthed the Blood Moon Heaven Academy-a training ground for humanity's last defense. Those chosen by Edric became known as Slavers, warriors who wield weapons forged from Riftborn remains, chaining the enemy's own power against them. The Riftborn adapted, becoming faster, stronger, and disturbingly coordinated-as if a single mind guided their endless slaughter. For every Riftborn slain, two more appeared. Humanity's victories began to feel hollow, temporary at best. Despair crept back into the hearts of the survivors. Then came Lyrisse. Found as an infant in a mysterious basket drifting along a river the night the crimson sky first appeared; she was raised far from the frontlines by a humble couple who treated her as their own. Now, fifteen years old, she has come to the Blood Moon Heaven Academy, armed with a Riftborn-forged katana and an unshakable resolve to protect those she loves. It's whether Lyrisse is the one to save it, or the one to end it.

There is an unexpected turn in the story that drastically changes the course of events and, in the long run, even the lives of those involved. Magpie, the first to be involved, suddenly finds himself in the world so unlike his own. Will he find his place there or will he be at least able to go back home? He seems to find his way back from this new world of giga-dimensions but something unwanted happens, and things go worse. The cultural differences, together with a challenging personality traits of another involved in the events, suck Magpie and his friends into a downward spiral. The story challenges you to see the world differently from the perspective you are perhaps too used to and narrowed by. Life can be an adventure if you don't narrow it with a bigotry that forces you to be rooted in your trenches and behind your dividing walls. This doesn't mean you have to accept others' views without standing your ground. However, to be able to share our lives in this one and only world we need to make compromises, on both sides. Are you the first brave one to set this positive trend in motion? So read on and let the foundation of the story be laid. From the end of episode 1 on, the story really picks up, finally reaching its climax at the end of episode 3 with quite a surprising finish. Your participation in solving this shared challenge of coexistence and cooperation is highly appreciated. Remember those who cooperate make more progress than those who don't! The ideal audience for my first book is actually between 12 and 16, but anybody older and interested in adventures, cultures and in getting more understanding into our multifaceted world is sure to enjoy the story. (The whole story has now been published, the only thing I'll still add is the final epilogue but the story is already available in its entirety.)
