Determined Heart

A young woman, barely out of her teen years, is killed in a lover's spat. According to village religion, if a wrongdoing is committed in the midst of two lovers, their spiritual bond is burned. If it is a, say, "ordinary" sin, the victim will be left injured but alive. However, the woman, Britney, is killed in the battle. Something is special with her soul. The Spirits recruited her as an Everlasting Guardian, a guardian angel destined to defeat evil and control mankind. Her ex-lover was possessed by a Death Messenger at the time of her death, and he was eventually brought to the Underworld, the opposite of the Spirits. Typically, the two forces stay separate, but when a war is started, the young couple is reunited and given a difficult second chance as half-humans. Together, will they be able to return to their past lives, forgiven, or will the two races fight to the death?
