"You interrupted my studying," he growled quietly and I blinked. "I didn't mean to," I whispered, apologetically. There was something meaningful, hinting, behind his words. For a second I wondered if he knew I reset time, but the thought left as quickly as it came because no one had ever caught it before, and I doubted anyone ever would. He stared at me again, rather intensely with his eyebrow twitching, and I looked away, afraid I'd had some weird mark on my face or something. Jacqueline can control time. For the majority of her life, she assumed that she was the only person on the planet with this ability. Unable to discuss it with friends, for fear of being labeled insane, she never speaks of it. But when one lazy choice leads her to find someone else just as gifted, she's met with overwhelming passion and burning romance. T for teens. Adult themes.

"More than anything, I tried to push away the fact that my power was beginning to dictate my decisions. It was stripping away my inhibitions and my fears, and as much as I dreaded to admit it - my morality." Miles Boswell and August Sylvan are two teenagers who find solace in each other from a society with which they can't connect. Their relationship is perfect -- except, that is, for the fact that Miles has just acquired mind control powers. He finds his morality tested on a daily basis as he struggles to resist his twisted sense of judgment, while at the same time questioning whether or not August truly likes him or is just being manipulated by his power. Will she accept him for who he truly is? Or will he do something so terrible that it will be too late to matter? NOTE: Each chapter starts with a song with lyrics that mirror the events of the chapter. I purposely chose songs that Miles or August would have listened to in 2001. If you're interested, look up the lyrics and listen to the song! I think it adds something a little special.
