"You interrupted my studying," he growled quietly and I blinked.
"I didn't mean to," I whispered, apologetically. There was something meaningful, hinting, behind his words. For a second I wondered if he knew I reset time, but the thought left as quickly as it came because no one had ever caught it before, and I doubted anyone ever would.
He stared at me again, rather intensely with his eyebrow twitching, and I looked away, afraid I'd had some weird mark on my face or something.
Jacqueline can control time. For the majority of her life, she assumed that she was the only person on the planet with this ability.
