Soliloquy - Poems on Life, Love & Longing (Wattpad Exclusive)
Featured: Wattpad Poetry Feb 2022 My times spent having conversations about life, longing and love.....with myself. In the company of solitude, I attempted to pen down a few lines on a range of emotions and experiences with a simple aim to revisit them in future. I urge the reader to join me and relive his and her own memories and find themselves. There are a few quiet conversations with 'her' as well. Book 1 in the Solace universe HAPPY ENDING I SWEAR!! Idk why it won't say completed, but it is, I promise 🫡 ( 1 day + 11 hours are for the book, any time after that is bonus chapters!) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ (𝒆𝒙𝒄𝒆𝒓𝒑𝒕 𝒇𝒓𝒐𝒎 𝒄𝒉𝒂𝒑𝒕𝒆𝒓 7) I'm sprawled out on the grass with my head in her lap, facing away from her and looking at the swarm of children. Her fingers comb through my hair and occasionally, her nails will scratch against my scalp, making my eyes roll to the back of my head. Fuck that feels good. We haven't spoken in some time, and honestly that's not a bad thing. Sometimes words don't need to be exchanged. The fact that we can sit in silence and be comfortable with one another is louder than meaningless words ever will be. I love this. Just being near her, being in her bubble, enjoying her presence. SYNOPSIS: The difference between Derek and I is like trying to count a tall building with over a hundred floors. While he's the type that gets tattoos, parties, sleeps around and smokes chunks with his friends, I'm the kind of girl that secure good grades at school just to make mummy proud. I'm not his type, he calls me a minor and ruffles my hair like a kid but I don't want to be that to him. I want to be everything he wants me to be, I want to be everything he likes in a woman even if it means skipping classes, partying and making mummy sad. I knew coming back to Austin TX after four years and getting to see those magnetic gray orbs that kept pulling me closer, those devilish lips, the smirk that whispers; 'Do what would make your mom disappointed' would be a bad idea. Do You Get Deja Vu Too?
2 years following the covid-19 lockdown, 16 year old Isabel De La Cruz feels fumbled and overwhelmed about school re-opening again. Sure, she might be attending Hollywood Performing Arts High, which is a dream come true, but daily encounters with her ex, Harry Goldwyn, is what she loathes about the situation. He's already let her down twice and she's not willing to hurt again, all for the name of love. For Harry, what once felt like home sweet home, now feels like foreign land, with the occasional hint of deja vu. He only moved back from New York in hopes of winning Isabel's heart back. What will it take for Isabel to act less harsh towards the dumbfounded boy and finally forgive him for all his wrongs he never meant to make in the first place? All Harry wants is another chance to make it up to the only girl he's ever truly ever loved. Third's the charm, but is this all too much to ask? Revolving around the fictional setting of Hollywood Performing Arts in Los Angeles, 2 teenagers and their friends stumble through what seems to be a coming of age coveted in clarity. 4 years truly is a long time for everything to change since their initial encounter.
