The Simpler Life by annelisefinn

Rory centric story that takes place mostly in Stars Hollow. Small-town charm and quirk, mixed with starting her life over in a new role as a mother. For me she is not perfect - and I don't expect to make her one. There will be guys we all know and love in this story, and while there'll be some angst, romance and opportunity mixed in - this story is not about this becoming a ROGAN or Literati or any other ship. On that front I'll just leave you guessing where'll she'll end up. Life is a process not a fixed happy-ever-after outcome.

This story begins in December of 1987. Rory is 3 years old and living in Hartford with Lorelai. They never moved to Stars Hollow. Instead they lived with the Gilmores until Lorelai graduated from high school. After that Lorelai got a job and with some help from her parents, got her own place in Hartford. Starts off at "Wedding Bell Blues" Slightly AU- Rory and Logan start out the way they did on the show. However, Rory is still a virgin and Logan is not a big fan of being someone's first- he can't handle the emotional baggage that tends to come with it. Rory knows Logan won't stick around if she's still the big V which leads us to her trusty friend Finn. He's been helping her out with a class they take together and they spend a lot of time together, as well all the things they've discovered they have in common. How will things with Rory and Logan pan out and will Rory see the caring and kind guy who's been there all along? I have tested the first few chapters out on another website but I am getting some much-needed editing and content help from Mindy Root so things might be a little slow going at first. Wherever You're Going by loganggfan

This story takes place 7 years after Rory turned down Logan's proposal. What happens when Logan and Rory run into each other in New York City? Logan lives in London and Rory lives in NY. Are they still running into obstacles? Can Rory save Logan from a life of unhappiness? I thought they had a real love in the series and wanted to finish their story. I didn't like most of the AYITL series, (except Fall) especially how Rory was portrayed. I have put this story out as my version. I think we all should be thankful to Amy Sherman Palladino and Dan Palladino for their wonderful characters and, of course, I don't own these characters.
